USAF C-130 Hercules. First American airplane
basically designed for economical turbo-prop power and for the air
movement of cargo. Now in quantity production for the Tactical Air
Commmand at the Georgia Division of Lockheed Aircraft Corporation.
Standing 38 ft (11.58 m) high at the tail, 95 ft (28.96 m) long,
132 ft (40.23 m) wing span. Cargo floor is at truck-bed level, 41
in (1.04 m) off runway. A Hercules is shown in flight with the
Marietta, Georgia, USA plant in the background.
