READIED FOR FLIGHT - Project Mercury's second manned suborbital space
flight from Cape Canaveral, will be attempted during the week of
July 16, utilizing this 58-foot Mercury-Redstone vehicle. Significant
advances have been made in the design of the Mercury spacecraft and
the astronaut's personal equipment. Flight will be similar to MR-3,
the first manned Mercury flight May 5, 1961, however, pilot will have
more time for making earth and celestial observations." |
