Fairchild F-27A

07/07/2007. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft was registered to Fairchild as N2725R on March 21, 1963, on May 8 it was registered to Bonanza Airlines as N156L. While landing at McCarran Field, Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 12, 1964, the aircraft hit a snowbank. Substantially damaged it was repaired and returned to Bonanza Airlines, being registered as N756L on March 1, 1964.

On March 7, 1968, the aircraft was registered to Air West, on April 1, 1970 to Hughes Air West. On March 1, 1974, it was leased to UTA of France, while five days later it was registered to UTA as F-OCYA. On April 4, 1974 it was registered to Air Polynesie.

The final operator became Air Cortez International of Ontario, California, USA, in 1982, the aircraft being registered as N2708B. It was stored in June 1987 and from 1988 used for for fire-practise."
