05/01/2005. Remarks by Nico Braas: "The Virginia was one of the earlier operational RAF bombers during the twenties produced in substantial numbers. In total 126 were built of the various marks, ranging from Mk.I to Mk.X. J7130 was one of a small batch of four Mk.III's (J7129-J7132). Later, it was converted to become the first Mk.X final version with two Bristol Jupiter engines. This is the version we see on the picture. In its final stage, the Jupiters were replaced by Pegasus engines fitted with Townend rings and four-bladed propellers."
