Three two-seat Universals made a ca. 13,670 mls (22,000 km) trip from Bucharest, Romania to Capetown, South Africa and back between April 14 and May 25, 1935. The crew members for this flight were Alexandru Cernescu, Mihail Pantazi, George Davidescu, Gheorghe Olteanu, Anton Stengher and Gheorghe Jienescu.
