04/30/2007. The Siebel Si 201 was designed as an air observation post and army co-operation aircraft and was evaluated against the Fieseler Fi 156 Storch and the Bayerische Flugzeugwerke Bf 163, eventually the Fi 156 proved to be a winner. Two prototype Si 201 (V1 and V2, D-IWHL) were build and the first flight was made in 1938. |
