Johan Visschedijk: "Military version of the Potez 62.1, powered by two 720 hp Hispano-Suiza 12XbrsI twelve-cylinder liquid-cooled V-engines. It could carry fourteen fully equipped parachutists and was fitted with a ventral trap door for droppings, a large cargo door and a hoist for handling heavy loads. Fifty were ordered for the French AF, however, two (F-AQBU c/n 4241 and F-AQEL c/n 4268) were equipped as VIP transports, while five were transferred to Romania. The first aircraft went into service on June 2, 1937."
