02/15/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This aircraft was built as a DC-6B and delivered to United Air Lines on January 11, 1956 registered N37659 and named "Mainliner Diamond Head". It was sold to Overseas National Airways of Washington, D.C. on June 2, 1960 and sold again to Ansett - ANA of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, on November 18, 1963 and registered VH-INA. It was again sold to an Australian aircraft sales company on March 10, 1967 and immediately resold to Far Eastern Air Transport of Taipei, Taiwan, and registered B-2003. Returning to the USA in July 1973, this aircraft was converted to a DC-6BF freighter and was sold to the Canadian company Conair Aviation on December 20, 1973, registered C-GHCB with fleet number "43" and converted to an aerial tanker. This aircraft was withdrawn from use and stored at Abbotsford, British Columbia in May 2001 and used for spare parts. It was seen parked at the airfield in June 2006 without engines."
