British Aerospace Hawk T.Mk.1 & T.Mk.1A & T.Mk.1W

02/28/2019. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, commonly known as the Red Arrows, was formed in 1964, and started flying displays in 1965. They operated the Hawker Siddeley Gnat two-seat-trainer up to 1979,, late that year they received the British Aerospace Hawk two-seat-trainer and started displaying with that type in 1980. Normally the team displays with nine aircraft and have a spare aircraft as backup. In 2014 the aircraft wore special markings on the fin to celebrate the Red Arrows 50th display season. Due to losses, fatigue, end of life, etc., at least 39 Hawks have been used over the past forty years."
