STEVEN HOWE COLLECTION No. 6946. Sopwith Triplane (G-BOCK c/n 153)
Photographed at Shuttleworth (Old Warden) Aerodrome, near Biggleswade, UK, June 3, 2007, by Steven Howe
10/31/2007. This replica was built by the Northern Aeroplane Workshops
and represents N6290 of the RNAS, and is usually referred to as Dixie.
The accuracy of the replica earned the decree of Sir Tom Sopwith that
it should be considered as a "late production" example, hence the c/n
153. Fitted with an original 130 hp Clerget engine it was flown for
the first time on April 10, 1992.
