01/31/2008. First flown on January 12, 1961, this Yukon was delivered to the RCAF on February 6. On May 26, 1970 it was reserialed 106930 with the CAF, being struck off charge on November 17, 1971, it was sold the following day to aircraft broker Beaver Enterprises, and stored at Montreal. Late in 1973 it was sold to SGA (Société Générale d'Alimentation) of Zaire, being registered 9Q-CWK and named Gegitelo, it made its first service flight on December 7. On February 1, 1977 it was transferred to TRAMACO (Transports et Manutentions Commerciaux), also of Zaire, being placed in storage at Manston, Kent, UK, in 1980. Sold in 1981 to yet another airline of Zaire, Katale Air Transport, it was scrapped at Goma, Zaire, on April 1, 1983. |
