12/22/2006. Remarks by Bernhard Klein: "The US Department of Commerce ordered five for the Aeronautics Bureau, NS21 to NS25 (c/n 112 to 116). Delivered in 1935 they were reregistered NC18621 to NC18625 in 1938.

Pictured is the aircraft which was earmarked for Eugene Vidal, then the chief of the US Department of Air Commerce, and father of the now prolific American novelist, playwrighter, essayist and liberal political pundit Gore (Eugene Luther) Vidal."
