06/18/2007. Remarks by Bernhard Klein: "The Breda 201, powered by a Daimler-Benz DB 601, was a clean low-wing monoplane with an inverted gull wing. It was highly praised by test pilots, except for a dissappointing maximum speed. Since all available Daimler-Benz DB 601 engines were to be used for fighters, further development of the Breda 201 dive-bomber was abandoned.
Photo shows the only Breda 201 which flew for the first time on June 3, 1941."
