06/18/2007. Remarks by Bernhard Klein: "Homebuilt sport aircraft by Richard H. Doyle of Franklin Park, Illinois, USA, in fact a reconstrution, beginning in 1962, of Doyle's failed first homebuilt. That was a gyrocopter with a tractor propeller and twin fins, built in 1961 and registered N1125; it was never able to leave the ground.

The 'Moon Maid', powered by a 25 hp 1,200 cc airborne version of a Volkswagen engine, flew successfully for the first time in May 1964 as N12041. It is still at the FAA Registry."
