04/30/2008. This light transport was the first all-metal aircraft of the USSR. It was first flown by N.I. Petrov on May 26, 1924. The pilot sat in an open cockpit while two passengers could be seated in an enclosed cabin. Four more were produced, all were powered by an 100 hp Bristol Lucifer engine. Later, one was re-engined with a 200 hp Wright engine, designated ANT-2bis. One aircraft is preserved at Monino, Moscow. |
