10/15/2006. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This aircraft is assigned to Training Squadron Twenty Eight (VT-28) based at NAS Corpus Christi, Texas, USA. The 228 TS-2As were advanced trainers with all armament, radar and electronic countermeasures (ECM) equipment removed and dual control for pilot training installed."

Built as a S2F-1, converted to S2F-1T, redesignated TS-2A in 1962.
