"The O-38 was built around a fuselage similar to the Douglas O-25 series and powered by a 525 hp Pratt & Whitney Hornet
R-1690-3 nine-cylinder, single row, air cooled radial engine. Forty five O-38s were built for National Guard observation squadrons and
was the first satisfactory aircraft operated by the Guard. It remained in service for ten years. |
