02/28/2011. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Produced for Braniff and registered N9709C, this aircraft was first flown on the last day of 1959, and delivered on January 9, 1960. On April 30, 1971 the registration OB-R946 was reserved for LANSA (Líneas Aéreas Nacionales SA) of Peru, but not taken up. The aircraft was acquired by Boeing and leased to Adventurers Travel Club and Holiday Airlines, reregistered as N972HA.

On April 22, 1975, the aircraft started operations with Air California, being reregistered N124AC on June 17, 1975. In January 1980 it was registered as PK-RLE to Mandala Airlines of Jakarta, Indonesia. It was withdrawn from use in September 1989, cannibalized and finally broken up in 1997."
