05/15/2007. These two photos were taken within a short period of time,
G-AVGO while being test flown, N4906 while in service with its first owner, Northern Consolidated Airlines (NCA).

This aircraft was one of only seventeen Srs.2 (Turboméca Astazou II turboprops) built, of which ten were converted to Srs.3 (Garratt TPE-331-201 turboprops); N4906 was not converted. It was registered in April 1967 and served with NCA till it was registered to Wien Alaska Airlines in March, 1968, after the merge of the two airlines. By 1973 the aircraft was withdrawn from use and donated as an instructional airframe to Parks College, St.Louis, Missouri, USA.
