01/15/2019. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "A total of 88 Firefly Mk.IIs were built by The Fairey Aviation Co. Ltd. of Hayes, Middlesex. The first 25 were built and flown in the UK and were allotted the c/n F.1489 to F.1513 and Belgian serials Y-1 to Y-25. Another 63 were built in Belgium by Avions Fairey at Gosselies, Belgium, these were allotted the c/n A.F.5001 to A.F.5063 and serials Y-26 to Y-87. One aircraft, in the c/n range A.F.5022 to A.F.5030, was not given a serial as that was sold to the USSR. Pictured is the third Firefly Mk.II for the Belgian AF, shortly before the transfer flight to Belgium on July 10, 1931."
