09/30/2007. Manufactured in 1952 under USN BuNo. 133693, it was delivered to the French Navy by the MDAP, serialed as 693. It was returned to USN in 1964 and obtained by the Air Museum of Canada, at Calgary, Alberta in 1967, registered as CF-VUM. In 1969-1970 it was owned by the American Aerospace and Military Museum at Pomona, California, USA, registered as N693M.

Sold in 1970 it was reregistered N33693 in 1971 and was listed as Racer number "3" and "93", named Blue Max, later it was marked as WR-93 of US Marine Corps VM-312. It changed hands again in 1984, crashing on May 10, 1987, at Chula Vista, near Brown Field, San Diego, California, killing the pilot Marshall Moss and a female passenger.
