Auster J/1U Workmaster

03/31/2011. Remarks by Ron Smith: "Originally designed for crop spraying, although only seven of the eleven Workmaster's (c/n 3497 to 3507) were produced as crop sprayers. The prototype (c/n 3497) first flew February 22, 1958, registered as G-APKP. The J/1U is powered by an 180 hp Lycoming O-360-A1A engine and is similar to the later, and more refined Beagle Husky."
