01/31/2012. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The F.14 Nibbio was more or less a larger four-seat development of the F.8L Falco and also a design of Stelio Frati; power plant was an 180 hp Lycoming O-360-A1A engine. Built by Aviamilano Costruzioni Aeronautiche SrL of Milan, Italy, and registered I-GIAR (c/n 201), the first F.14 made the maiden flight on January 16, 1958. This aircraft was followed by a small batch of ten production aircraft (c/n 202 to 211), all having been built by the Aviamilano company.
From the F.14 the successful SIAI Marchetti SF.260 was developed and the F.14 design also formed the basis for the F.15 Picchio produced by Procaer."
