01/31/2012. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The F.14 Nibbio was more or less a larger 4-seat development of the F.8L Falco and also a design of Stelio Frati; powerplant was an 180 hp Lycoming O-360-A1A engine. Built by Aviamilano Construzioni Aeronautiche SrL of Milan, Italy, and registered I-GIAR (c/n 201), the first F.14 made the maiden flight on January 16, 1958. This aircraft was followed by a small batch of 10 production aircraft (c/n 202 to 211), all having been built by the Aviamilano company.
From the F.14 the successful Siai-Marchetti SF.260 was developed and the F.14 design also formed the basis for the F.15 Picchio produced by Procaer.
