01/31/2012. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "Slightly larger than the P.220S, the P.230S Panda was also a new design in the long series of homebuilt aircraft types initiated by Jean Pottier in late 1980s.
F-PACB was the prototype of the two/three-seat P.230, built in France by Charles Bire and first flown on April 27, 1990, powered by a 100 hp Continental O-200-A engine. The type could accept engines in the 80 to 150 hp range and examples completed in France had engines such as the 125 hp Continental IO-240-B4B engine and the 80 hp Jabiru 2200. By mid-2006 over twenty aircraft had been built."
