01/31/2012. Remarks by
Walter van Tilborg: "The AK-2R single-seat homebuilt aircraft was a design of Frenchman André Kieger and a further development of the earlier AK-1. The type was intended as a specialized glider tug and the aircraft built by the Centre de Vol ŕ Voile de l'Haguenau (Gliding Center at Haguenau) of which Kieger was a member. The sole AK-2R first flew during 1998 and it had an 180 hp Lycoming O-360 engine driving a four-bladed composite propeller."
