Marcel 01

01/15/2019. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The Marcel 01 was a high wing homebuilt aircraft which had started life as the Helf-Aubertin HA Flieger. Construction was started in 1988 by a mister Helf and Marcel Aubertin, reportedly the project was not finished, but then continued by Aubertin together with Jean-Yves Honstettre. Mainly intended for mountain flying, it featured tandem-seating, an electrical system (taken from a Ford Fiesta car), and an 100 hp Continental O-200-A engine. Later it received an 110 hp (135 hp take off) PSA XUD 11 BTE turbo diesel engine.

Redesignated Marcel 01 and with the temporarily registration F-WRJH, the aircraft was first flown on October 6, 1994. After it received its CofA it was registered as F-PRJH to Honstettre at Gap on December 15, 1995. On July 11, 2000, the aircraft was registered to Alain Cave of Draguignan, but on September 3, 2004, it was registered to Honstettre again. No further examples were built."
