04/30/2008. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "Mr. Marcel Jurca was responsible for a large series of homebuilt aircraft designs ranging from the MJ-2 Tempête to full-scale replicas of WW2 fighters such as the Spitfire and FW 190. Under the designations MJ-7 (two-third scale) and MJ-77 (three-quarter scale) Mr. Jurca developed P-51 Mustang replicas named Gnatsum (Mustang spelled backwards).
F-PANG was a MJ-77 built in France by Mr. M. Anzani and it first flew during 1995. Engine was one 260 hp Potez 4DC-34 six-cylinder engine. Examples of the MJ-7/MJ-77 were also built in Canada and USA and Mr. Chris Falconar and SAL (Sturgeon Aircraft Limited) in Canada developed a much different variant aimed at the North American market."
