Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This is the sole C-3H built, fitted with a 240 hp Menasco-Salmson B-2 nine-cylinder air-cooled radial engine, converted by Menasco from a Salmson Z-9 liquid-cooled engine. First flown in 1928, the aircraft was soon converted to a standard C-3B and fitted with a 220 hp Wright J-5 Whirlwind radial engine."
