Lockheed 282 KC-130F Hercules and Vought V-383 F-8D Crusader

01/31/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The Hercules was manufactured as a GV-1 in late 1960 and delivered to the "Raiders" VMGR-352 (Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron) on April 1, 1961. The aircraft is presently assigned to VMGR-152 coded QD-891.

The two Crusaders were built as F8U-2Ns and redesignated to F-8D in 1962. They belonged to the "Warlords" VMF(AW)-451 (Marine Fighting Squadron, All-Weather). 147910 was lost on July 13, 1966, the pilot ejected to safety. 147914 was converted to an F-8H in 1968, and struck off charge on February 3, 1976, it was subsequently sold to the Philippines, s/n 47914, coded 319. By March 1993 it had been withdrawn from service."
