11/30/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "CASA (Construcciones Aeronáuticas, S.A.) was formed on March 3, 1923, and the first produced aircraft were license-built Breguet Bre 19s followed by Dornier J Wal flying boats. The director of the Getafe factory, Luis Sousa, designed the first CASA aircraft, a series of two-seat touring aircraft, the Type I to Type V, from 1928 to 1931.
Construction of the Type III started in 1929 and it was flown for the first time in 1930, registered as EC-XAC. It was sold to Guillem Xuclá in 1931 who used it for some years, before it was deregistered."
