Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The third of six Viscounts ordered by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) in December 1961, the pictured aircraft was registered G-ASDS on November 8, 1962, and first flew on August 8, 1963 at Hurn, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England. After receiving its CofA on August 27, it was ferried to China and delivered to the CAAC on September 19, 1963 and registered 406; in 1974 it was reregistered B-406. In April 1983 it was transferred to the Chinese AF and serialed 50258. Being withdrawn in May 1988, this aircraft was transferred to the Datanshang Aviation Musuem in April 1990."
