Remarks by Tony Jarvis, President of the Ventura Memorial Flight Association: This photo was taken by Les Corness (now deceased and formerly living in Edmonton) post war in Canada. The aircraft was always in RCAF service in Canada and was never overseas. I am restoring one in Edmonton.

Remarks by Jack McKillop: "Aircraft 'B' of No. 8 (Bomber Reconnaissance) Squadron based at Sea Island, Port Hardy and Patricia Bay, British Columbia, ca. May 1943-May 1945. Built at the Vega factory as model V-146 with US Navy BuNo. 48657, this was one of 137 PV-1s ordered by the US Navy and transferred to the RCAF as G.R.Mk.Vs under Lend-Lease."
