Ordered for the Royal Navy on August 18, 1950, this aircraft was delivered as WG652. In 1957 it was repurchased by Hawker, reconditioned, and registered as G-9-57 ('Class B' markings). It was sold to the German government as D-CAFO on May 23, 1960. On July 30, 1974 it was registered in the UK as G-BCKG, but already in September it became N62143 on the register of the USA.
The aircraft was converted to a single-seater in 1979, in 1984 it was listed as Racer number "106", being badly damaged in a hangar fire in 1988. After a lenghty rebuilt periode and having its engine replaced by a Wright R-3350 it flew again in 1995, named "Wright Up Front", later listed as Racer number "99" and named "Riff Raff".
Fourth place - Unlimited Class Gold - 437.083 mph (703.417).
