03/31/2011. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This aircraft was built as a
C-54A-DO Skymaster, s/n 41-37272 and delivered to the USAAF on February 8, 1943. To US Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) in 1946 as N79000. Sold to Eastern Air Lines April 11, 1951 with fleet number 721. Sold to Aero Leases, Inc., May 1955 and leased to Grimley Engineering and then Northwest Airlines of Minneapolis, Minnesota in June 1955, and Transocean Airlines of Los Angeles, California, for one flight on February 28, 1959. Sold to World Airways of Atlanta, Georgia, in 1959; to California Airmotive in 1960 and leased to Global Aviation during 1960 and then leased to President Airlines October 1960 to 1961.

Sold to Continentale of Hamburg, Germany, in May 1961 and registered D-ADAM. Sold to Aviation Traders (Engineering) Ltd of Southend Municipal Airport, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England in July 1963 as G-ASKN and converted to an ATL-98 Carvair and assigned new c/n 13. After conversion, it was sold to British United Air Ferries (renamed British Air Ferries on October 1, 1967) on February 2, 1964 and named 'Pont d'Avignon' and renamed 'Big Bill' in 1973. Sold to the Gabon airline SOACO (Société Anonyme de Construction) in June 1976 and registered TR-LWP. Withdrawn from use in 1978 and subsequently scrapped at Brazzaville, Congo."
