10/31/2011. Remarks by
Johan Visschedijk: "In 1929 Powel Crosley formed the Crosley Aircraft Manufacturing Division of the Crosley Radio & Electronics Company at Sharonville Ohio. Only two examples of the C-3 Moonbeam C-3 were produced, NX146N (c/n 3) fitted with an 110 hp Warner Scarab engine (it was lost in a hangar fire in 1939), and NX147N, fitted with an 125 hp Menasco C-4 Pirate engine. The latter is still on the register and preserved in the
Kentucky Aviation Museum."
