Johan Visschedijk: "Initiated by Captain Brian Boeding and Staff Sergeant George Schnyer, this A-10A from the 118th "Flying Yankees" Fighter Squadron (103rd Fighter Wing) of the Connecticut ANG, was painted in the WW II "Black Lightning" scheme in celebration of the eightieth anniversary of the Connecticut ANG (1923 – 2003)."
