Culver Dart GW

10/31/2018. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This Dart GW is one of eight built by the Culver Aircraft Company at Port Columbus Ohio, USA, in 1939. Registered NC20913 it was sold to the Parks Air College at Parks College Airport, East St. Louis, Missouri, where it was one of five Darts used for training.

After WW II the aircraft was sold to aerobatic pilot Rodney F. Jocelyn of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, and registered as N20913 on November 14, 1952. Jocelyn had the original 90 hp Warner Scarab Junior five-cylinder radial replaced by a 220 hp Continental R-670 seven-cylinder radial and had the wing span reduced by 8ft (2.44 m). Due to the 220 hp engine the aircraft was also referred to as the Culver X-F 220 Super Dart. The registration was cancelled September 23, 1955, the fate of the aircraft is unknown."
