Feugrey TR 260 Sirius

02/28/2023. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The TR 260 – TR 360 series of high performance unlimited aerobatic single-seaters was designed by Frenchman Gérard Feugray. The type appeared in several versions, mainly differing in the engine installed.

TR 260 Sirius: The first aircraft (F-WTXK c/n 1) in the series. Fitted with a 260 hp Lycoming IO-540 engine, it was first flown at Saint-André-de-l'Eure on January 14, 1985. A second TR 260 (F-WYVF c/n 2) was flown by Catherine Maunoury in the 1986 French Acrobatic Championships.

TR 300: This was the third machine (F-WZBU c/n 3), which had a 300 hp Lycoming AEIO-540 engine. It was first flown in March 1991, reportedly it was lost in a hangar fire.

TR 325 Sirius: This aircraft had started life as the second TR 260 (F-WYVF c/n 2). It was very similar to TR 300, but it was fitted with a powerful 325 hp Lycoming IO-540 engine. In 1988 this aircraft was flown by Catherine Maunoury, who became the Female World Champion Aerobatics that year.

TR 340: This example was built for Brigitte Delasselle and Christian Lesage and was powered by a 340 hp Lycoming AEIO-340 engine.

TR 360: The first TR 260 (F-WTXK c/n 1), after having been re-engined with a 360hp Lycoming AEIO-540 series engine. It was destroyed in a fire, caused by a leaking oil cooler, at Saint-André-de-l'Eure on March 14, 1987.
