08/31/2007. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft was built as a single-seat Raab-Katzenstein RK-26 Tigerschwalbe (Tiger Swallow) and was used by Gerhard Fieseler as an aerobatic demonstration aircraft. He showed it at Ljungbyhed, Sweden, in the autumn of 1930, and it was flown by the Swedish flying instructor Lieutenant Nils Söderberg. Söderberg advised the Swedish AF to further investigate the possibility to have the type selected as the new advanced trainer for the Swedish AF.

AB Svenska Järnvägsverkstädernas Aeroplanavdelning (ASJA, Swedish Railway Workshops Aircraft Department) bought an aircraft and registered as SE-ACO in February 1931, this aircarft was tested by the Swedish AF. ASJA also obtained a license to produce the type. On February 25, 1932, the Swedish AF ordered 25 RK-26s, military designation Sk 10, from ASJA. Built as two-seat trainers the aircraft were delivered between October 1932 and May 1934; the last was withdrawn from service in 1945.

Also in 1930 Fieseler started his own company and refurbished the RK-16 into a two-seater and redesignated it Fieseler F 1. The aircraft was used by Fieseler till it was sold in 1935 to Liesel Bach, a female German top aerobatic pilot."
