Johan Visschedijk: "This static replica is painted in the markings (P3873/YO-H) of No. 1 Squadron, RCAF, flown by Flying Officer Hartland de M. Molson on October 5, 1940, when he was shot down over Canterbury on his 62nd Hurricane mission during the Battle of Britain. The replica was unveiled on August 20, 2000 and installed as the Museum's gate guardian on October 8, 2000, by Mr. Molson, who died two years later at the respectable age of 95."
