10/31/2013. Remarks by
Johan Visschedijk: "Fitted with a 285 hp Jacobs L-5MB engine,
NC2272 was the first of four ZQC-6s built in 1938. A little later it was re-engined with the 330 hp Jacobs L-6MB, and it was redesignated AGC-8. Subsequently it was delivered to the first owner,
C.H. Warrington of Washington, D.C. and it flew until the mid-1950s. While not flown, the aircraft changed hands a number of times, its present owner, George Riffle of Auburn, Washington, started a long-term restoration after he acquired the aircraft in 2005, and it will take several more years to complete the work."
