12/31/2007. Remarks by
Johan Visschedijk: "This was one of the two Tempest Mk.II prototypes fitted with a 2,520 hp Bristol Centaurus VI eighteen-cylinder air-cooled radial, first flown on September 18, 1943. Stuck off charge it was transferred to the College Of Aeronautics, Cranfield in 1955 and it became part of the Skyfame Museum collection in 1967. On April 14, 1983, it was sold to Kermit A. Weeks, Tamiami, Florida, USA, and subsequently registered as N607LA, and still is as of this day."
