Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Ordered on August 26, 1931, under Contract AC4534, this was one of five aircraft (s/n 32-291 to 32-295) initially designated Y1O-31A, during production redesignated Y1O-31C, and eventually completed and delivered in 1933 as Y1O-43s. This aircraft was assigned to the 82nd Observation Squadron."
