Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Original built as a TR-1A the aircraft was delivered to the USAF in May 1985, and assigned to the 4029th SRTS (Strategic Reconnaissance Training Squadron) of the 9th SRW (Strategic Reconnaissance Wing), based at Beale AFB, California. Since it has been converted to a U-2S, having the original 17,000 lb (7,711 kg) st Pratt & Whitney J75-P-13B turbojet replaced by a General Electric F118-101, and several equipment upgrades."
