First flown as an RF-104G reconnaissance aircraft on January 30, 1964, serialed as KG+313, being reserialed to EB+114 on November 5, 1964. In 1971 the aircraft was converted to an F-104G fighter and reserialed 24+64. On June 26, 1975 it was assigned to NASA, arriving at Edwards AFB, California, USA on July 2.
Entered in the FAA Registry as N826NA, and devoid of all military equipment it was used for various flight test purposes. On February 3, 1994, N826NA flew its 1,415th and last NASA mission and has been on display at NASA Dryden Flight Research Facility, Edwards AFB since July 1995."
