Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft was one of 150 aircraft ordered under Lend-Lease with the USAAC s/n 41-37320 to 41-37469 and were destined for the RAF as Mustang Mk.IAs under the British s/n FD418 to FD567. However, FD418 to FD437, FD450 to FD464, FD466 to FD469 and FD510 to FD527 were commandeered into service with the USAAF, the pictured aircraft was later converted to a photo-reconnaissance version, initially designated P-51-1, later F-6A."
