11/15/2014. Remarks by
Johan Visschedijk: "This unwillingly formed hybrid was the result of a landing accident. Both aircraft were assigned to No. 18 SFTS (Service Flying Training School) at RCAF Station Gimli, Manitoba, and both aircraft were flown solo. While performing touch and go circuits during night flying training, JS193 was descending faster, it hit JS167 on finals and the two landed stuck together, both pilots remained uninjured. The Ansons had been built by Canadian Car & Foundry Co. Ltd. at Amherst, Nova Scotia, in September 1942, apparently both were repaired after the accident, as JS187 was disposed of in August 1946, and JS193 in March 1947."
