Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The California Division of Forestry (CDF), based at McClellan, California, USA, operates a fleet of mostly former USMAC OV-10s (presently ca. 15), as fire spotters, directing S-2 and other air tankers. The aircraft are dispersed over California, including Chico, Columbia, Fresno, Grass Valley, Hemet, Mather, Paso Robles, Porterville, Ramona, Redding, Rohnerville, and Ukiah.
The USMC ordered 114 OV-10As, the pictured aircraft received the s/n 155454, after service it was stored at AMARC. Subsequently it was transferred to the CDF on March 10, 1993, registered as N400DF, and operates from Columbia Airport."
