It arrived at Downsview, Ontario, Canada on June 13, was test flown on June 16, and registered CF-AGO to de Havilland Aircraft of Canada Ltd. (DHC), Toronto, on June 19, 1930. DHC used it as a demonstrator and during 1930-1932 it was flown 70,000 mls (112,654 km) on demonstrations in North America, mainly by E. Leigh Capreol. Nigel Norman flew it across the USA and back in 1931. It was still operated by DHC's General Manager Alan Murray in early 1934.
On May 9, 1934, it was registered to Sid B. Cleverley of Toronto. Subsequent owners were W.A. Ward of Toronto (April 27, 1938), and R.G. Slack and G.I. Wonnacott of Hamilton (January 13, 1939).
The RCAF acquired it as an instructional airframe on June 15, 1940 and two days later it was taken on strength by No. 1 Training Command, and coded A50 it was assigned to the Technical Training School at St. Thomas. November 15, 1940 it was donated to the Quebec Training School."
