03/31/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The prototype of the short haul Aerovan was fitted with two 155 hp Blackburn Cirrus Major 3 four-cylinder air-cooled inverted in-line engines. First flown by Tommy Rose at Woodley on January 26, 1945, with the 'Class B' marking U-0248, on June 5,1945 it was reregistered as G-AGOZ, while on February 1, 1946 it received its CofA. The aircraft was scrapped in November 1949.
Although the prototype carried British military markings the Aerovan never served with British military forces."
